Water Quality

Our Goals for Water Quality

  • Encourage stream bank clean-up activities
  • For the next four years increase buffers to 100% on both sides of Clifty Creek.
  • Promote additional buffers for all county watercourses.
  • Seek funding sources for water sampling and volunteer opportunities.
  • Educate rural landowners about the importance of nutrient and pest management practices to both water quality and economics.
  • Promote fencing of livestock out of the watercourses and forests through the promotion of the USDA EQIP program.
