Water Quality
Our Goals for Water Quality
Encourage stream bank clean-up activities
For the next four years increase buffers to 100% on both sides of Clifty Creek.
Promote additional buffers for all county watercourses.
Seek funding sources for water sampling and volunteer opportunities.
Educate rural landowners about the importance of nutrient and pest management practices to both water quality and economics.
Promote fencing of livestock out of the watercourses and forests through the promotion of the USDA EQIP program.
